ASN Online Join - Membership Categories

Active

Any person holding an M.D., Ph.D., or its equivalent, who has demonstrated a major and continuing interest in nephrology, and who is a resident of North or Central America is eligible for active membership. Active members have the right to vote and hold office. The membership fee for Active members is $475, and includes a subscription to the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN), Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN), and Nephrology Self-Assessment Program (NephSAP).

Corresponding

Those who meet the requirements for active membership, but reside outside of North or Central America are eligible for corresponding membership. Corresponding members have the rights of active members except they may not vote or hold office. The membership fee for Corresponding members is $475 and includes online subscription to the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN), Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN), and Nephrology Self-Assessment Program (NephSAP).

Affiliate

Professionals in Nephrology or Allied Fields who are not eligible for Active or Corresponding membership are eligible for Affiliate membership. Affiliate members have the rights of Active members except they may not vote or hold office. The membership fee for Affiliate members is $475 and includes online to the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN), Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN), and Nephrology Self-Assessment Program (NephSAP).

Women in Nephrology (WIN)

Founded in 1983, Women in Nephrology (WIN) is dedicated to promoting professional development, networking and mentorship opportunities for everyone interested in a nephrology career. In addition, WIN advocates within the nephrology community for education and research relevant to women. Membership in WIN provides access to senior professionals in nephrology who are motivated to help mentor more junior physicians and scientists. The cost of WIN membership is $75. Please note that WIN membership is separate from ASN membership.

ASN membership is on a calendar year basis (January - December). $33 of your dues is allocated to subscriptions to the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN), $33 is allocated to the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN), and $12 is allocated to Kidney News (KN). Because of these benefits, no exceptions can be made.
